It's a shame to set them at 62... so pretty just sitting there... Has anyone been assigned one yet?

The majority came in yesterday. They're being permitted.

When our safety director was visiting last she said she was pushing for higher governor settings. She believes we are a hazard to the road at 62

I applied last week based on this ad I found on the TruckersReport jobs section:
LinkAmerica Express offers regional, local and dedicated truck driving positions. Our driver service centers are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lakeland, Florida and Ft. Worth, Texas.
Southwest Regional runs are in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

Southwest Regional Solo Company Drivers receive the following:

    • Start at $.36/mile with 6 months of recent experience
    • Great home time.
    • Average 2,300 miles/week
    • 99% no touch freight
    • Layover pay
    • Stop pay
    • Detention pay
    • Vacation pay
    • $750 Referral Bonus ($500 paid at 1st dispatch)

    Truck Driver Benefits Include:

    • Health Insurance
    • 401(k)
    • Weekly pay
    • Direct deposit

    Requirements

    • 6 months of recent over the road experience
    • Clean criminal background/driving record
Now, when I called this morning to check on my app, I was told I needed 12mo exp. When I referred to the ad, she told me that was for students.:biggrin_2554: WTF? If you were a student, how would you have 6mo current OTR?
Deceptive advertising that only wastes applicant and company time...
