1443 week 10 truck in shop friday to thursday afternoon. Miles made with saturday night delivery last week.
853 week 11 when I del tomorrow morning just after midnight. I'm currently running week 11. I'll be out of hrs on Thursday or Friday, depending on how they run me and will be going home for a reset. I would have had load delivered today if I didn't get hung up at shipper from previous driver quitting and puncturing all the air bags on the trailer with a screw driver, which was witnessed by the shipper and on camera. Yep, I saw the video that the yard jockey had recorded on his cell phone. That is immature and a good career ender for the dude. It's a lot easier to walk away then to do something stupid like that.
I'm new here and those are my averages. My miles are picking up over my time here. Anj has been here a year at least and he gets more miles, but has proven himself. I'm still in that proven stage for I'm still within my 90 probationary. Guys quit after a month and haven't started to prove themselves, yet. No matter where you go, you have to prove yourself, stand out from the pack, be a go getter while doing the work "legally and professionally" then once remembered, the miles will improve. I'm noticing that I'm getting tested more and more with tighter runs and more miles. I just do it for a few reasons. I got hired to work, I want to make money, I need the money to survive, I get too bored sitting around, time goes by faster and I'm home enjoying life...
Ok, my rant is over. Lol.

I noticed that we are getting a few new trailers ready for the California crossings. Rumor is spreading that we have a dedicated run from Orlando to California and back to Orlando area. They are going to need 14 drivers for it since there will be a load a day. I took it as a rumor, but pic of your trailer is either second trailer I've seen with the aero cutter or you have the same trailer I had. 321018.[/QUOTE]
Wonder if they would give those dedicated Fl.-Ca. runs to a O/O team??? Of course that is IF they have them!! Hmmmm..... -
I asked my dm and she didn't know. Maybe it's just another rumor...
jlind Thanks this. -
Yeah, I picked up at Recyling plant today. I had to go back to them twice because of overweight. First weight was 85,800, Second weight was 80,450. Third weight was 77,890..Good thing there's no weight station before u get to The Pilot to get weight ticket...Got there and it was a live load so had to back up..They really need to get a scale on their property cuz going back and forth to the pilot eats up all your clock..

Going to be a crappy week. Sat in covington for 6 hours waiting for them to finish loading . Best case scenario is my DM gets the load split at yard and I just keep rolling. As of now its due at 6am in Miami. Really not looking forward to sitting at a grocery warehouse burning hours. I was hoping for a good week before vacation but its not looking good.

Blame it on the eclipse. I am. Lol. Everyone seems to be having a bad week. Was told to call for a safety meeting at 4 pm. The whole board has to do it. I'm to pick up in Lee and I have no cell coverage so I'm slacking before I go in the woods. Loaf delivers asap in Hope Hill, NC. My dm is figuring hrs to get there, says I should be there in 9 hrs for 450 mile run. I told her don't forget the deadhead from Jacksonville, my fuel stop, safety meeting, and break just before I get there from local run this morning. Oops. Lol.
-
Well, they did split the load at yard.. the yard btw is a ghost town. Only 6 loaded trailers and 3 empty.
Now the ###### side. I picked up in Tampa heading to rock-tenn in jax.
They want me to pick up in Fernandina beach and go to NC. Not a big deal except it delivers Thursday and I need to be home friday morning.
We shall see -
You can have my load. Delivers in Hope Mills, NC asap.
Picked load up in Lee, trailer had oos tag on front of it from yard. It read do not load, trailer sold. Has two black dots on front. Told to take to customer and planners will load it back to Lakeland. Driver obviously failed to pretrip it for it had one bald tire, one flat tire, and lights on right side didn't work, besides the obvious tag hanging under the glad hands. We really need to get rid of these people like that. It makes the job that much more difficult for all of us. That's two trailers now, back to back, that were taken into customer oos.
Must be the eclipse... Still blaming it.
Because of bad trailer, I lost my preplan to Marathon, FL. -
What a ###### morning...
I load in Tampa at rock tenn, in and out in about a hour. Drive to jax, drop&hook at rocktenn, grab my empty and haul ### to Fernandina beach in hopes of two things.
1. I can take my 10 there
2. Its preloaded and I can get it early then go shutdown.
Well, neither happened. I get checked in and they reject the empty because of a bent cross member . So I call dispatch and they tell me to take it to Dickinson repair in Jax. Great, 40 miles there and 40 back which is Killing the little bit of time I do have. I get to jax, drop trailer and begin the empty search specifically looking for perfect cross members on trailer. 5 empty trailers later I find a gene hyde trailer. Lucky me it has 2 bad tires. So I grab it haul ### to kingsland GA to petro to get it repaired, haul ### back to Fernandina beach and finally get checked in. Im loaded and gone heading to NC in 25 minutes. Cool right? No... all that running burned my clock up so I made it back to kingsland to take my break with 15 minutes to spare on my clock. So now im stuck in the same predicament of being in NC the day before im due home for vacation. The director of planning assures me they will get me back... we will see.
