Link America.. GOOD

I'll be going out Monday and probably staying out awhile. I spoke to a few drivers that had mixed results running the SW fleet. Some enjoyed it, some said they'll never do it again.

 

Does link hire from Arizona? Do they require the Hazmat endorsement?

 

I'm not sure if we have anything going on in Arizona. We have so many divisions that when I would think not, I'm later surprised that we are. I suggest just calling recruiting and ask. I know we have a end dump division in Nevada, New Mexico, and California. They might have something in Arizona as well.

I also just talked to a driver who drove a pink truck that had a pony pump on it. His cab had LinkAmerica on the door, but had LinkAmerica Pump Service instead of Link Express or Lane on sleeper. He said we just got into the pump business out of Houston. He stayed in the yard while waiting for Tuesday to pick up a Vacuum Tank trailer in Miami. He said we are starting a flatbed division there as well. I know of the one in Illinois. He said they will be running drilling pipe to South Dakota and bad pipe back.

I thought it was interesting to get into the pumping business. I'm just really hoping that we don't get too diverse or too big for our britches. Then it might be the investment company buying out other companies and putting them under the LinkAmerica corporate umbrella.

 

Anj, any word on OTR fleet? Scott in dispatch said be didn't know.

 

Planned to pick up in Lee for Bessemer, AL for tomorrow night delivery. Getting some sleep for an overnight run up there.

 

I called recruiting & they don't hire out of Arizona.
