That's where link picks their battles. We can lose a acct of recycled cardboard but get awarded more freight from GP and KC for on time service. That Boynton beach acct was nvr really ours. Davis ( dry van) pretty much abandon it and we picked it up. We started doing that around august and it was apart of the dedicated acct I was doing. Link just uses it to get trucks out of sth Florida. I doubt they will miss it or care much for it.

Well I start orientation here in Irving tomorrow a little nervous, but I think it will be good. I am coming here from US Xpress and going to run the south west region anyone have any suggestions?
-
Have any of you guys ever delivered to Quad Graphics, The Rock, GA?
-
So much for this preloaded trailer in.cedar springs.
Waiting to live load. -
So far, I've waited four hrs to get into shop to fix trailer lights and told I might be waiting another two... Good thing I did have time for delivery.

Link's a pretty good place. Not perfect, but they'll try to make it right. They seem to care and most managers and the folk in the office treat drivers with respect. I saw in their driver manual and orientation they have a driver hotline for phoning and emailing. So if the DM doesn't treat you right, or no one at the terminal can fix and issue, call the hotline. Someone like the HR lady will take care of the issue.

As companies like them go, Link's a pretty decent place. lots of improvements underway. Good news is that if ya speak up someone will listen. If your DM don't give respect then you can call the top folks and they'll get on it. I get a feeling they want to get it right, but the road to right is a long road with lots of bumps in it. But my buddy drives for other regionals, and it a lot worse other places. If I'm picking I'll go with Link.

I'm so glad we don't have to go all the way into the port of Fernanind Beach to pick up Rocktenn. U only have to go 5 miles east off of 95 to pick up trailers. I wasn't there no more than 10 minutes.
-
When did that change? Every load I did there I had to drive all the way to the water.
-
Don't know when they changed it but they told me all Rocktenn loads and empties are to be picked up and dropped off at RDL Logistics..I'm glad cuz that saved me at least an hr on my clock.I was in and out in 10minutes..
