If they're treating him right and he's making decent money, what is your problem with credit being given where he feels it's due? Why do you even care?

I really don't care. I just was trying to get to my 100th post. Thank you for your participation. Back to our regular scheduled programming.

There are better ways for 100th posts... Lol
Preplanned Covington to New Smyrna. Picks up Tuesday, but I'm going over Monday to see if I can get.it early. If not ready, dm will see if I can get a different load. If I can get it early, I'm dropping it in Lakeland since it doesn't deliver until Thursday.Dennis_Miller Thanks this. -
I think I might give Trae Hall a call in the am and see what we can get worked out. You just might see me around somewhere pretty soon.

IRT slowing up on you? My neighbor said he's down about 650 - 800 miles per week right now claiming it's the season. Must be a long season because he's complained for at least five months now.

I'm also having a good experience with this company. I's nice to be able to call your DM, and when he answers the phone, he greets you by name. I don't have to give my truck number...we're first name basis and I've only been rolling with them for 3 weeks so far.
I get a little more per mile than the OP because I'm in the SW fleet. But this is a raise for me, as I come in from a well-known 48-state OTR company who paid less per mile and because of trying to keep 14,000+ trucks running, they always seemed to be short of freight.
Link ran me out of hours in the first 5-1/2 days with them. I just got that paycheck this past Friday, and I must say I'm happy. I was set up real tight with the load I was on and three more after, and I had a blowout which set me back on time and consequently would have made the other loads late. So they had to pull the other three from me. But guess what? When I dropped the load I was carrying, I didn't have to wait...they had another load waiting to be picked up right then and sent me on it. I've not had to sit.
I have the option to be home every week, but choose to run 2 weeks at a time. They love that, and they keep me rolling.
The equipment? I was never a fan of Columbias, but guess what? They've been working on replacing the older trucks with Petes and I got a note on the PeopleNet today that said they are taking delivery of some more Petes and a few ProStars, too. I've driven a ProStar, and I really like them. Smooth and quiet. And who doesn't like a Pete?
They took good care of me in Orientation, too. When it took longer for my drug test to come back than it should have, not only did they cover a couple more nights at the hotel, but they also had another test done so they could get me rolling.
I've never been thanked for what I do by the other companies I've driven for. My DM thanks me nearly every time I talk to him. I don't expect to be thanked, but when someone thanks you for a job well done, it does feel good. Just one of the many little extras that LinkAmerica offers.
It's my understanding that before August of last year, they weren't that great of a company (and they'll tell you that). They've replaced most of the staff and most of the renegade drivers who don't pre/post trip and run 3+ logbooks with people who stay within the law and comply with DOT regs. I'm one of those drivers who will not break the law for anyone, because I can't afford to feed my family and the feed the DOT, too. And I actually want to make it home to my wife and kids alive and in one piece -- I won't take senseless chances. And LinkAmerica respects that. In less than a year, this company has made a complete turn-around.
They really do care about their drivers, and they keep 'em going. Like the OP said, if you show some work ethic, they'll work you. If you're lazy, or you expect to get 3 days make a 500-mile run and can't hack 11 hours behind the wheel, you won't make it here. But if you come here to work, there's is plenty of work to do! -
Shaggy76 Thanks this.

Tl385... You recruiter you. Lol.
Welcome to Link. Run into trouble, let us know and we'll try and point you in the right direction.
Picked this load up in Zephyrhills. Only one light worked on the trailer and Dot expired. I got to looking at front of trailer and it was damaged, new damage. Glad hands bent, junction box mangled and attempted to be repaired. It happened at customer. Had to run to ta since our shop was closed overnight. Got it fixed and ran out of hrs here at GA line, missing my appt. Aargh... New appt is set for 7/5 so I'm waiting to see where I can drop at near Augusta. I doubt they'll have me sit on it. Maybe they'll reroute me to Conyers...
I expect this week to be a little slower with holiday in the middle. Hopefully it won't cut too far into miles. -
Sitting in zephyrhills , load not ready anytime soon and completely blown off by a training dispatch . Gonna be a awesome week...... Sense my sarcasm?
