My Easy Pedal is going out so I thought I would try a Lipe. I emailed the factory and they said I need a Lipe-2 (cummins ISX 550hp 1650tq 10spd). They set me up with a local distributor. When I picked it up yesterday the Invoice said Lipe-1. The guy said that's all they carry and the only difference is it has a higher rating (2400 pounds). I don't plan on raising the HP on this truck so is this going to be to much? Also I haul a gas tanker and do mostly stop and go local driving. Is this thing going to be way to grabby for that? One guy I know said he had one and he took it out because it grabbed to hard, no slip at all. I plan on putting it in tomorrow, thanks.

The clutch will be stiffer. I put one in mine a few weeks ago, the first load it was fine, took off out of the hole better than any other clutch I've ever had. Second load it went down hill. Come to find out the flywheel had a low spot on it and thats why mine got jumpy. I since had the flywheel turned again and the clutch is getting much better. It's still breaking in.
Now I don't know if any damage was done to the intermediate plate or pressure plate from this? Its still alittle jumpy. I wish you had a few more weeks and I'd give you a much better answer.Pappa Bear Thanks this. -
Thanks. I went ahead and exchanged it for another Eaton.

Not sure but I have heard that Catco, Eau Clair, Wi. sells them. Seen the PDI 2nd annual DYNO event at St George, Utah and the BIG BOY truckers really like that 2400 lb clutch. Seen 14 everyday work trucks putting out from 652 from a N-14 to 1216 from a E-Modle Cat. No one complained about extra pedal effort.

at one point you could get one with 5000lbs clamp load.....i sold a TON of them...throught the factory (since i worked there for 2 years in warrenty and developement)...just little pointer...better make sure the its got double shims in the throwout bearing collar...it will rattle...and make sure you speak with them about the faceplate on the trowout bearing.....soft rivits will cause that plate to rip away...after so many disengaugements...one clutch will replace just about any 15 inch flywheel clutch...lp108391.74 (same part number as a eaton..depending on your horsepower) and you can put a 8inch center disc into a 10 inch flywheel hole....and it will work just fine!
