Just to clarify, Ray is NOT any part of Pro Tech, or Channel 5 CB shop in W. Memphis. Go to those shops at your own risk. He is located in a little strip center across from Mc Donald's. 40 plus years repairing CB's. He is honest and reasonable. I have not been able to get him to put an RFX-75 on my 29 because he says it will shorten the life of the radio. Other than that, he is the best. I don't really need that mod anyway. Most of my radios are over 30 years old, and still work fine.

ray did work their when it was pro-tech(now defunct) and was only waiting for protechs owner to go under so ray could pick up the building. during that time however, there were about 3 other tech's working there besides ray. that is where the reputation and confusion comes from when the location is mentioned. But that was then, ray is the only tech there and sole owner of ray's electronics, with andy being there only a couple days a month on the weekends or maybe an evening when ray has business to attend to. been using ray 15+ years with no issues at all. If you get the chance stop and talk to him, you might not like what he has to say regarding stinger boards/rfx-75's etc but he is straight up and great to do business with and will have you loud and proud on the air.

A good CB shop is the one located at I-40 eastbound side, exit 175 in Lonoke, Arkansas. He's been doing radios for 25+ years. He seldom runs a CB but if you call and leave a message he will return your call. He will be up front with you and before he does anything he will show you. Had a galaxy radio I ran for years....never had a single problem with it.
