When you book loads, do you do it mostly from your phone or from your laptop?
I personally do it from laptop, because I can set up a more precise deadhead, block TQL and other clowns listings, so they don't clutter the load feed, see how often loads get reposted to see what brokers get antsy, switch between searches immediately if I am monitoring a different market and just other little stuff

Is the block feature only on DAT?

I am not sure if ITS has it, I have their basic subscription, but never really looked into it

From my laptop mostly (maybe 75%), but I rarely wait till last moment. I like to book a week ahead - 2 or 3 loads, which will satisfy my revenue requirements. This was easy for the last 6 months. I stick to the same set of lanes, I don't need to have a wide perspective that Power offers with hot zones and such. I would love to stay on the same lane all year long, if possible.

My strategy is to find one well paying load from within 500 mile radius where I live - mostly to the West -- WI, MN, IA, even NE. That load needs to pay well enough that even with a deadhead, it is still worthwhile but I also try to find something to take me out there, on the same day or a day early. That's not always possible but sometimes works well. Then when the main load is delivered , I try to get one more 1 day move further east or wherever that gives enough boost then I take whatever, it is mostly cheap freight - to get home and reload for another loop.
Once, in a while I will go sporadically out West or down to FL but these excursions result from a convincing rate that is offered. Salt Lake City is about as far West that I am willing to go.
