Load boards - When to select full, partial or both?

    Yes. Except there's too many middle men. Shippers lie to brokers, broker lie to drivers, and it's a game of "Telephone". Then if you've got five loads on your trailer, what happens if the first receiver can't unload you for six hours because the forklift broke down? Now you've got four other shippers and receivers pissed at you.

    So bill it like a full load, and tell them to take it or leave it.

    It's possible for loading equipment to break anytime, just like the truck. Some customers understand others can't. The sun is still going to set and rise again.

    Some partials should pay as a full load. Short hauls, limited time. Size or weight. Oversize always.

    When I do partials it's usually equipment. Give the make, model and year. I can find the total dimensions and weight. Also I usually run 700 to 1500 miles between loading and delivery.

    My experience most partials have a delivery window of at least 2-3 days more than a direct shipment. If not, than it's not a partial to me.
