    I guess I was using the old theory where team loads paid better. I know the miles are better.

    Oh yeah, maybe. I think you are looking for JIT freight, or "Just in time". Maybe expediting would be good too to search for.

    Want to stay under my own authority .... most of the expediting companies (Landstar/Panther etc.) want you to run under their authority.

    Don't blame you. Good luck too.

    I hadn't heard that team freight paid any better, but when you have two incomes for one truck payment I'm sure you could make a killing either way. Always wondered if you had to replace the truck quicker though.
