If you're running east coast and run a reefer look into SunCo. It's an all O/O Co like Landstar but 100% reefer loads.
Like anything else you have to sift through the $^*# to find the diamonds. I have had good loads through them and through UTI. Know your "break even point' and know the economy....
No I'm not talking about leasing on with Landstar. What I'm trying to tell you is call to see if you can only use the broker board or do you get to use their lease-operators board?
I'm approved for Landstar's load board and I'm sure its not the one their "leased on" carriers get. It has very little freight. I'm guessing its the leftovers.
Thats what I was wanting you to see. I was wondering if that broker board was all you had to choose from. ANd yes I seen where it was dead!
well as far as load boards go if an agent has a load they are not required to post said load.. that being said yeah dealing with a load board like landstars where they have their own trucks its liable to be leftovers cause the good ones probly never made it there in the first place.. follow what im trying to say? i know alot of agents that display only difficult loads to get rid of them
See I was of the understanding that they posted all loads on their boards so the drivers didn't have to bother calling and could just use their computer. I've never worked for them so I didn't know.
one would like to think so..but some dont so ive always made a habit of calling the agents in the area when i was headed that dir. i dont know anything really about independents..so i couldnt be of much help.. the one i mentioned before,get loaded and dat...alot of these co have an available broker loads on their website
