Sent in tons of brochores to many many shippers including Walmart, Dollar General, Paper Companies, Melon1 and the list goes on, THETrash blocks all mails and calls n then say some stupid things like, "if name starts with V then we cant give you the load" Just like when I called for refinance house (HARP program for the under water houses by Obama Admin) two Afroamerican sounding teen girls answered that we are not financing for you and we are Obama's daughters. So the house went under water.
Here is a threat from Nolan Trans Group out of GA saying have fun in NJ since I refused his $500 offer on this JFK Airport offer to NY

Some people don't get it is what i was saying. Direct customers wouldn't touch me when they heard my rates for him direct would definitely be a step up.

SL3406 Thanks this.

You are correct! I have been using getloaded for my hubby and have had much success. Sometimes, i hvae to make a few calls but they have the best rates by far. I heard that they were bought out by DAT and getloaded is now the son company to DAT. I love it.
here are some recent loads I personlly booked for my hubby
1- Lomira, WI to Altus, Ok-Partial load 300lbs (yes 300 lbs) $3750--partial then I picked up a Rockford, IL to Oklahoma City 15500 lbs partial for $3600. that was a great load.
Today I got him a Beaver Dam, WI to Ottawa. KS for $2600 and only 16785 lbs
I definitely have to negotiate pretty much all of the time but usually they just want it off the board. Play hardball, that is the best advice I can give you. My hubby does local loads probaly 4 days a week. Pulling from Milwaukee to Chicago Area mostly 75-95 mileas each way and I am getting $475-$ 650 each way. It makes me sick when I hear companies trying to offer me $650 for 590 miles. I tell them good luck and hang up. Usually they call me back and ask what my driver would do it for....maybe it's the old myth that women dispatchers can negotiate more!!! HA!Noah Transportation and Foxcover Thank this. -
Hi, I was just reading your post on here and I'M trying to find out how to even get started booking loads for my husband. He is on the road a lot for a company. Now he has his own authority. Can you give me some tips? all new to this. What is the best load board? And I do believe they will try to talk the price down. ok thanks.

I found getloaded.com to be the most user friendly and I basically taught myself to use it in 3 days MAX. The best advice I can give you is do not haul for cheap, I make ALOT of calls but I almost always get my hubby where he wants to be. After about 3-4 weeks you will know which company pays bad and which one is good. I have about 10 companies that call me before they even post on the boards and that is where you want to be at, that's the best when the shipper calls you directly
Hope that helps!
Maranofilter, Noah Transportation and pasmurf Thank this. -
Have great luck with internet truckstop. Has all the info you need as far as phone #'s, broker ratings, days to pay etc....
