What do you mean stop loading? You still have 10 feet of deck space empty.Chewy352, Dye Guardian and johndeere4020 Thank this.

When I pulled a hopper they always talked about light trucks and light trailers to haul more bushels the guy I worked for always said the only way you could haul more was to add side boards.MJ1657 Thanks this.

9" from side marker light. Is my center on my spread axle 48'. Like @TripleSix mentioned. 1' off center.
OP. Learn the details of your truck. Max out your fuel tanks empty go scale out. See where your kingpin is set. Make adjustments.
It's your truck. Find out all it has to offer,. Information will only cost you some brief time and a couple bucks. -
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who runs like that.
Everyone is right though. If you've got a gauge on the truck and trailer, pull in at emoty scales and write down in a boon somewhere what psi equals what weight. That'll get you pretty bang on.
Someone mentioned to keep trailer brakes released when looking at trailer susp guage to more accurately guesstimate the weight. He's right. Also, with that being said; when you're getting close to your max weight on your drives, release the tractor brakes and move a few feet back and forth to get a better idea of what weight is on your drives. Also note that to get pretty accurate axle weights using your susp gauges, you've gotta be on somewhat level ground.
In my truck which is a 389 Pete, 55-56 psi on tractor is about 34,000 lbs, full of fuel and lunch in the fridge.Dye Guardian and MJ1657 Thank this. -
Great advice on releasing the brakes and moving the truck.peterbilt_2005, Dye Guardian and Macneil Thank this.

I don't really find my B-trains change after moving but with lift axles (4-5 axle straight trailers) I'll absolutely roll them around to settle in the suspension, if I'm close on weight.
I only set trailer brakes/cut off trailer air supply if I'm dropping a trailer.Macneil Thanks this. -
Me too. I forget about the red button until its time to drop the wagon.
I've never noticed much change in pressures on bags with a trailer without lift axles but I do it just in case. I haul a lot of spread axle tandem in the US so I don't wanna be over. Here in Canada the law is more forgiving.Dye Guardian Thanks this.
