Load Leveler

    I was all set to purchase those items for three new trailers at work and got over ruled. They want headboards on the trailers.

    That is just... Umm... not a good idea.
    A headboard at the front or the trailer isn't going to help prevent the load from moving. Once it starts moving the headboard isn't going to do much of anything to stop it, it's too late by then.

    Unless the stuff is loaded right up against the headboard it isn't going to prevent movement. Unlike your idea of using a load leveler, which can be placed anywhere and actually do more to actually prevent movement.

    That's always a fun argument people make. I'll get a headboard or rack and that will protect me incase a load shifts. Not realizing that the 1/16" aluminum doesn't have any chance of stopping a load of steel.

    If anybody's plan A to handle a load shift is to put a rack or headboard on the trailer they should just stop and go home. Gotta stop it before it starts.

    True, but they pay the bills and sign the checks. Gonna do as they say.
