Guessing there is an admin or two that would rather I not be here, oh well.
pretty obvious who the problem child is, to anyone who isn't biased......
Glad to have a couple of decent folks in my corner though.
Either way, life will no doubt carry on as normal.....lol

Martin, there is a big parts place there in Liberal. Downtown right after the R.R. tracks on the right that sells alot of different gear.
We bought some stuff there several years back, when I hauled some towers out of there.

Think I drove right by the place when I dropped the trailer at the rail head. Must be off Kansas Avenue, just before the RR tracks.

It has been my expierence that the higher grade chains are in fact better , they seem to twist less and have a way of flowing around lugs ect , as far as removable hooks , its been my expierence that normally if the hook needs to be removed to fit through a tie down point that tie down point probably isn't rated as high as the hook you are trying to pass through it thus it becomes the weak link, I have also seen catastrophy when a chain has failed, my opinion is go with the heaviest best grade stuff you can get/ afford, that will safely secure what you are carrying , some states won't allow multiple chains to the same point so higher ratings are a neccesity, due to limited poi ts available , and by the way how about propper use of a chain , ie hooked on both ends to itself and the slack between the binder , I rember a few years back dot was having a real picnic writeing tickets for chains being taught as they pass the binder is a chain with only one hook ? WoW and recently I have been seeing loads running like this again so I figr in this era of revenue generating ticket writing we better be doing it " the right way"
