I believe the belly wrap reg goes like more than 3 tiers and 6 ft or taller off the deck. From the last book I read, you have to also keep in mind the rule of steel (Sounds like something Conan was taught as a kid, doesn't it?), 1 every 8 ft for the belly wraps. that's a whole lotta straps when you include the mains.

Belly wraps go front and back of each set of bundles (within the first two feet). You build a bulkhead whenever carrying shiny bar or whenever you are required by shipper. Also if you want to build one for your own piece of mind, well, that's up to you. Remember you use it when you carry bundled steel bars to keep it from shifting forward...how would trip chains help in that case???? trip chains are for, say, skidded cargo, or shotgun coils......
P.S. again, these are rules per my company, NOT DOT....they generally are more stringent than DOT on securement....Mr.Shifter Thanks this.
