Load Shift Caught On Traffic Camera

Velcro ? They sure took off easily

 

Lack of adequate securement and not paying attention to traffic light and possible speed of travel being high.

 

What securement?

 

My kind of load, haul those all the time. Those blocks are counter weights. There supposed to be chained down, I don’t see any chains. Looks like he used straps however, I don’t see any softners to keep from cutting the straps. Everything is wrong with this load. And it doesn’t hurt to throw a safety chain in the front to keep it from shifting forward incase this happens.

 

I can hear the driver now..."I was just going across town and I've hauled it that way before and nothing ever happened." Yeah, right.
I wonder if that boom will have to be inspected and recertified? If there are any repairs required it can get real expensive in a hurry.

 

Stale light got him, he was more concerned with leaving his friends behind then the material with lack of securement on the deck.
