at shipper they flat out told me this load previously tore up other trucks tarps and apologized that the customered requires it.
Put protection and all but wasn't enough, my tarps got wrecked.
Now one day through to trip customer says to removed tarps so they don't get anymore damaged.
Sooo what would you people do in this scenario?
I want more money for this BS.
Load tore up and destroyed tarps... what next

What is the product? Let's see some pics.
nikmirbre, singlescrewshaker, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
I would have removed the tarps after leaving the shipper, then put them back on just before arriving at the receiver. I've done that.
tarmadilo, Badmon, Cattleman84 and 15 others Thank this. -
If you own your own equipment I would call the Broker I wouldn't haul the load Unless I got something in writing that they were going to reimburse me for any damage to my equipmentTXhog, Chinatown, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this.

Was it one of those greasy production machine loads? Decent pay but will ruin a set of tarps. Even through moving blankets.

Negotiations need to be completed before you load. If you are going to ruin your tarps, the tarp pay should be enough to replace the tarps. As soon as the shipper told you that your tarps were going to get shredded, you should have negotiated.blacklabel, Sirscrapntruckalot, Tug Toy and 10 others Thank this.

I wouldn't haul the load. We are in this business to make money, if you know a load is going to cost you money then you either factor that in with the price of the load or you don't haul it.Cat sdp, Sirscrapntruckalot, Tug Toy and 8 others Thank this.

I may have got to unload early before anyone was there with tarps rolled up on back of trailer, and acted like i just got them taken off and rolled up when they opened up, more then a few times?
Badmon, LtlAnonymous, Sirscrapntruckalot and 4 others Thank this. -
I've done that also, quite a few times. I laid the rolled up tarps on the ground beside the trailer.Badmon, LtlAnonymous, tommymonza and 7 others Thank this.
