I dont use cd as a main source for loads but it really helped me getting loads out of dead areas and keep my deadhead to a minimum.
Deliver a load to burlington vt and go to champlain ny to pick up suv’s coming from canada $1400 to manheim pa where i live.pick up driling rig near boston going to kentucky for $2050.pick up cars from brookheaven ny when delivering to long island for a short trip to a better area.pick up new promaster vans out of baltimore.
Pick up one car to fill the deck when i have a small load.Tank truck out of denver co to kansas city for $2 a mile.
You just have to be careful who you dealing with i only do cod’s and call ahead to make sure load is ready.

The rate is between me and the shipper. He lists with 3 - 4 different brokers who all post on ITS for between $1.60 to $1.80 mi. Through conversation with the shipper and me being local, he told me what he pays the broker's and offered me the same rate if I would let him know when in town and ready to leave out.
Plus no one is loading 2 heavy mixer chassis on a 3 car wedge trailer. Much less have the equipment to correctly secure them.
