Does its have same loads as truckers edge ? I was thinking about trying it for a bit because RGN loads on ITS has been dead.

Load boards(No matter which one) are just a starting Tool..
    NONE of them sport quality.

Best advice? Use Load boards as a last result and get your Slacks on and Get YOUR lanes At YOUR rates

Load Boards (For the most part) are just a tool that marketed itself so shippers/brokers can get the "Bad" stuff moved via the motoring public..

Still don't understand?? Load Boards = Abandonment Shelter

I will try to clear up some of the confusion...
Truckers edge is for the guys who are NOT members of OOIDA .....powered by DAT 50.00 bucks a mo.( i think it is )
Members Edge is for the guys who are members of OOIDA (I am a card carrying member btw) 45.00 bucks a mo.) And they took my CA# because I run California for the most part, and MC DOT#'s are going away in Sept. of this year and Im not paying another 600.00 for a permit thats going away in 4 months, and I just had speak with one of the reps to verify my carrier number etc.
    BOTH are powered by DAT,
some guys like ITS and I think the interface is pretty good, and thats FINE to each his own, but..... 149.00 a month is more than i want to spend for same features that i get at Members edge.
THATS just me im NOT bagging on ITS at all, its personal preference its just that i sometimes see the same loads posted, and I know it double postings by the brokers, and im a little old school i like to use use the mouse on my PC and open that extra little window and I like picking up my calculator and running numbers to see if the load makes sense for me.
At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

In my brief 6 months of running OO I have tried DAT and ITS.

ITS is the clear clear winner IMO. The interface is modern while DAT still feels like the Dial A Truck interface from my Dads days.

I.T.S. is a full blown interactive site with live bidding and easy to use full screen fields.

I don't even think it is fair to compare the 2.

I could not care less about seeing loads twice or even 10 times. I simply either place a bid or just click on a load (the broker can see if I am looking at his or her load in realtime) and wait for the phone to ring.

That being said I am now a member of both at 35 per month.

DAT did make my phone ring more so obviously it works....but as far as which one is best though IMO the winner is CLEARLY I.T.S.

They have put a ton of work in to that website/interface/business/driver education! And it shows!!!

I'm a senior member of OOIDA and had truckers edge for several years. It cost a little over $30 a month. Recently I upgraded that to a DAT Power account for $149 a month. In my circumstance it was money well spent and worth it. Automatic load refreshing is probably the most important feature. If you depend on load boards you need a feature like that in times like these. If you have mostly direct freight and plenty of it only supplementing or back hauling off load boards basic truckers edge or members edge is fine. Guys will throw away money on the craziest things but then cut corners on important tools in their business and livelihood. Makes no sense.

Seems to me in your scenario DAT wins hands down. The one that generates the most incoming calls is the winner. That's your first leg up in the negotiation, they called you... The cheap er versions really don't hold a candle to DAT Power or ITS Pro. They're outdated platforms with old loads that have mostly been covered already, if you're calling on "day of" loads anyway.

I'm not a O/O but what about Allen Lund, they go back aways. Remember there trucks along time ago. Now I'm hearing they sponsor OOIDA's Land Line Now radio program. Are they a Trucking CO. Or are they brokers or both.

To my knowledge, allen lund hasn't had a truck in over two decades. Guess they figured out is more profitable to there is plenty of schmucks that run for 90 cpm, so much cheaper than operating their own equipment.

Was going to say that I used to see them back in 80's-90's but not since then.

Really? I clearly stated ITS dominates.

What I meant is..... yes... the phone did begin to ring a little more (it was already ringing all day from ITS) when I signed up for DAT.

And...now... I ask where they saw me....some say DAT...but by far most saw me on ITS.
