Starting on dry but a friend of mine is telling me to go reefer. I've only heard bad things about reefer. Why is it so bad? I bet on load off load is much quicker

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Reefer is a lot of dc's like walmart. And they can be so effing slow. When i ran reefer, i did a few ten hour breaks at walmart on the dock.

And dont forget the meat patch....ive waited a full day there before.

But reefer does have a lot of long cross country hauls...which can be nice

22dragoo, Lepton1 and BigTennOTR Thank this.

If I'm sitting for an hour waiting to unload, I go check in and see what the hold up is. When they give me their bs response, I tell them that it's cool, because my detention time starts at 2 hours after arrival (assuming I'm on time) and that it's charged at a rate of $75 an hour till empty. That usually gets then moving. Sometimes not

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I loaded and unloaded by myself, usually an hour each time . It was usually 10,000 to 15,000 pounds of linen on wheeled carts .

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
