I've been in the receiving end of this, getting cussed at for taking to long. I ignore them. It's my truck(even if it is a company one) and my job. They can either be patient or not, it doesn't matter to me. As far as the police, in over 13 years on the road I've never had a cop tell me to hurry up and back up or else. I seriously doubt the cops will ever do so, and yes I've had them watch me take almost 20 minutes to back into a b lind side dock off a street in Baltimore. The customer can ask me to leave if they feel I'm taking to long, I'll be glad to. I've even refused to back into docks if I felt unsafe about them.

To abm75: I agree time should be taken to ensure it is done right. My mention of possible cops would likely only apply if you are blocking a major road for a long time.

This is the view of how much room was available, when My truck was bumped against the dock.

I seen Cops sit and wait and when backed in they wave a how do you do wave and go on. Cops not all bad some or most are really understanding guys who have a stressful job. And it shows when they get testy with you when they pull you over.
