    That's nothing new. My first OTR job in the late 80's we had fixed tandems and Joey boxes, and a single in the nose left the tandems heavy. You'd have thought I'd asked them to arrange the Second Coming trying to get that single in row #2. When I went back to reefer in 1999, after 53's were more common, it was even worse.

    There a lot of companies using them, you probably just don’t notice the difference. Turnpike and Rocky Mountain doubles are 48’ trailers. A pintle hook on the back is a giveaway.
