How about that grocery warehouse in Southaven,MS? I don't think they touch any freight; just count the pallets when the grocery store employees pull them off.

Well, if you get your endorsements (and you need all 3), they're a great company to work for. I work out of the Indianapolis terminal.

 

Get them. The pay differential is huge with most local jobs between having them and not. In my city, hourly pay in many jobs without endorsements can be over $10/hr less than jobs which require them.

Some exceptions would be a union grocery-hauling gig like @Pintlehook does or a mail-hauling gig like @Sho Nuff has. Look into those kinds of jobs if you don't want to get endorsements, but understand you'll have many more options if you do get them.

 

With 2 years experience, finding a local job shouldn't be too difficult. I would start with Indeed.com and see what's available, or look around and write down the names of all the daycabs you see.
