Depending on where you live, you may have a lot of options. Suck up the next two months and get your one year of experience established. Don't be a "Job Hopper". Most LTL carriers are paying $25 an hour plus. If you do the math, that can mean earnings from $200 to $300 a day. Schedules are usually M-F. Linehaul positions with LTL carriers pay even more, but usually means working nights with a couple of nights away from home, but, the earnings are anywhere from $75K to 90K annually!
The clock never stops. Sitting in traffic....getting paid. Held up at a shipper or receiver....you're getting paid!
Food delivery companies in high population areas are high paying gigs as well, with drivers who hustle and grind making 6 figures. These jobs are not for those who like to coast, they are physically demanding and take a toll on your knee's and back.
The resident guru on jobs @Chinatown, will fill you in on more jobs shortly.
@ChinatownChinatown Thanks this. -
Percentage or hourly is the only way to go regional/otr.
What do YOU want to do is what it comes down to -
You need to stay at your current gig for AT LEAST 2 more months.
Longer still would be even better.
Later on--you'll be glad you did!!!
Also: it's pretty tough giving you any really good feedback without knowing what city/state you are in (or near).
Things vary, depending on where you are.
