RC recently lost their Director of Safety and Recruiting. According to him (from another driver to me) 'The ship is sinking.'
I don't know how much the culture will change under the two guys promoted to replace this one. Time will tell.

The owner likes the way the trucks look when they're clean and shiny...... I hate the coffin cab Kens.... I'll take an auto Freightliner first...... the fact that there are 30 of them nosed into their spots so they can keep the oil pan hot on any given Saturday night in Scarborough..... I see that and I'm thinking (I'm local, slip-seat - tanker) that's very symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing.... but there's nobody making money / earning money right now.

Toward that we consider Maine's economy. Water. Paper. And....... ?....... Build me a toilet bowl, we'd combine the three and that's Maine's economy!

    I'm sad now.
    Thanks, T. :(

Unless your gonna haul fuel or do ltl I don't see local paying much in that area. I use to come up there all the time and pick up paper and a lobster roll or two. Maybe Boston would be better for higher paying work. But on the other hand the cost of living would be higher too
