Local/OTR logging question…

    That’s what I do.

    When I run outside the exemption on a given day I just do a paper log for that day.

    Yes, the carrier needs it along with your normal daily time sheets to check for HOS compliance and it ties in with the IfTA and IRP reporting.

    I would fillout a log for the local day, and note local under 100 air miles, I would note the start stop (s) locations and time in the memo area, probalby would not fill out the graph. I would also ask at leo what they would want to see when I did not have the truck with me. Like on a bike ride. Just got back from running the Dyna up to my Daughters in Riverton Ut (south of SLC) went up for dinner last night, still a little on the cool side, glad for electric vest, and chaps.
