Well as an old guy with kids and grandkids and who drives a beat up dirty old Chevy S10 pickup to work everyday maybe I can give some perspective.
Now I'm not one to wear filthy dirty clothing or walk around with an open shirt and beer gut hanging out but if you saw me pull into the parking lot in my beater truck and work clothes you might think I don't have much.
Maybe like me some of those old guys with the "beat up 90s plastic buckets " like my S10 have nice cars at home that they don't drive to work or other toys in the garage and they just use the beater for getting to work.
They might also be homeowners with a nice place while the young pup driving his nice (and only) car to work is paying rent somewhere or living in the truck.

Myself I have a one year old 2700 sq foot two story home on 5 1/2 acres of view property, I have a Z28 Camaro in the garage and parked next to it is a big Harley Davidson.
Out in the shed I have a big vintage 4X4 GMC 3/4ton with a 454 Chevy under the hood and with a 6" lift kit and next to it a vintage Tahiti speedboat with a 460 Ford in the engine bay.
Those are just some of my outdoor toys on wheels,I have guns and stereo equipment ,antiques etc etc that I've collected over the years of getting to be old lol.
Maybe some of those old boys driving the plastic buckets have stuff you haven't seen yet 'eh. :yes2557:

The people claiming they are bored must be kids that grow up in front of a video game screen, there's a big exciting world out there just waiting to be explored, even on the same route. ...you just have to open your eyes.

By the looks of your dwelling Y2K doesn't look as if you own a riding mower? Can only imagine the engine you'd have stuff inside it?:biggrin_2559:

Actually I have a 21hp Sears rider with a 42" twin-blade and hydrostatic drive, no plans for a Harley motor in the lawnmower just yet lol.
The house pic doesn't show the big lawn, we had just started landscaping around the house where the ground was torn up before Winter set in.
We had a mobile home on the same spot and a big yard, about an acre of lawn before but we've downsized that a bit with the new house.
We spent the Summer and Fall of 2012 in our 25' RV trailer during construction, in the pic there is still straw covering the ground around the house, Summer 2013 was spent doing clean up and landscaping so it's come a long way since that pic was taken.
I have no time to be bored heh heh.

I used to be of that mindset boring sucks, but it is also secure, limited suprises, relative safety. Lately I have found as long as you enjoy the route and bring good tunes, boring and safe is much better than exciting and unknown.

I drove vamp shift for a year in the chip wagon, sure was glad to get on days.
I get to see lots of great scenery on a daily basis, even though I've seen it all before it's still nice to roam the countryside in Oregon and Washington's back roads.
The coast, the mountains and once in a while the high desert, beats the heck out of droning along the interstate all day or night.

I have the same uncompleted cabin in the forest. One day, 25 years later finish the project also when my friends get home from school. Jealous of the porta john.

PS: Nice house :biggrin_25519::biggrin_25519::biggrin_25519: have family in battleground.
