Location for the night

T/A, Morris IL. Was hoping for Gary, but can't make it in 4 minutes.

ETA: lots of parking that isn't next to that old diesel APU, showers are huge and clean, 2 towels - I think that's a T/A thing (a definite plus in my book; hard to dry off with the mop on my head dripping everywhere) - and the R Place restaurant was most excellent. A bit pricy for regular visits, but not bad for occasional dinner.

Good riddance, that place is a hole in the wall. Obviously the Pilot across the street is worse, but I don't even take that place serious enough to mention it.

Indy OC, They are supposed to have the new TA in Troutville open in the Fall........ Supposedly the Old one will stay open til the new one is finished..

 

I never even stop in that area. I hate messing around with that stupid TA in Troutville. Not enough parking for everyone that tries cramming into that pain in the butt parking lot.

I either stop at Whites or I usually try to make it to the twin Flying J's in Wytheville. I never have any parking issues on I-81 unless I've tried stopping at Troutville and also around the Winchester area. That's a big no no going to that ridiculous Flying J in Winchester.

The Hess by I-66 with the Loves across the street almost always has parking until pretty late. There's also another dead truck stop a bit down the road where Bowman Apple products is located (Mt. Jackson exit, like 250 or 255, something like that). Free coffee there too when I bought nothing from the place, at least from the guy that was working that morning lol
