50 bucks a mile in NYC traffic would still probably be less than minimum wage. I've lived within 75 miles of the city for all my 29 years and I'd been there 4 times before I started trucking. Needless to say, I'm not a city person.

Yeah that's low. Get with the times Schneider, stop pay within the boroughs should be $100+

I just shook my head and said "BS" about 30 times.

When I first started my career in 99, I drove for May Trucking and the 9 months I was there, even though I was a horrible truck driver at that point, I have yet to be as good at backing as I was working for them. I went to the most horrible warehouses, the busiest docks, the weirdest little places like yours. Then I went to other carriers where they were more choosy with their freight and my skills have never been the same.
In my current truck and even with a tank, instead of a van, I don't think I could get it in there. Hell, I can't hardly back into a spot by myself lol

Really makes you wonder if anyone even bothers to check Google Earth before signing on a new customer.

I don't think they really care... As long as they're making money they care less they're not the ones that have to deal with the hassle...

Kenton. Pretty much a do nothing day. I ran 215 miles this morning then got a PM and the truck was turned up. That took over 5 hours.
