At the receiver in eastern Pennsylvania waiting for the snow storm. Travel ban in effect from I-99 eastward all limited access roads from 10 pm tonight until 6 pm tomorrow night. Reduced speeds to 45 mph. 18-24 inches possible. Yeehaw

Pretty sure J and A supplies pallets for that customer. Not 100%, but the screw up is probably on their end.

Autonomous forklifts can't come soon enough. Amazon already uses them picking/packing. Imagine a 4+ hour unload cut down to 15 minutes by a machine.

It'll still be 4 hours because there warehouse will still have to count, verify and restack it first.

 

Not to mention the lawsuits from the lumper union types that will do anything to stop it from cutting into their sweet gig.

Waiting on assignment since 8 am, finally received an assignment at 1030. Live load 97 miles away, 1315 appointment.

Get sent to Frito lay for mt, none there. Sent to Home Depot in Foley Al for mt. Charcoal spilled on the trailer and hole in roof. Great. Called in the hole, routed to get fixed; already swept out the mess.

DBL says trying to get trailer swapped someplace, I'm already heading to repair. Told drop mt and pick up another mt there; repair place is already fixing hole. Mt available is a 16xxxx, I'll give it a look see. 16 is better than 9, right?

There's a glad hand lock on it. The trailer repair is next to an independent truck stop and that is where the 16 was.

Left to get loaded. Arrived at 1600. Luckily they were still there and waiting. Scnn called and kept them updated to my progress, which is good to know somebody is working in the office sometimes.
