Location for the night

Change in plans. There were way too many "domicile-challenged" and apparently starving ("can I hold a dollar so I can get me something from the kitchen?") persons wandering the lot at the place I originally stopped and I was uncomfortable, so I fired up the Brat & rolled about 80 miles closer to my delivery. Now, I am at the much nicer (a.k.a. not a converted Kangaroo station) Peelot in Winona, MS.

And I did a thorough pre-trip before I left, just in case I irritated anyone by not carrying any dollars for them to 'hold'.

 

I haaaaaaate beggars. I loathe them and would love nothing better than to just dive out of the truck, run up and just bite them! God, they make me so angry. I hate liars more than beggars, so lets start our new relationship out by first lying to me, and rhen beg for money.

For that you get bit twice!

I refuse to bite anyone with whose medical history I am not familiar, lest I end up with more trouble than I started with. I do, however, whole-heartedly agree with the sentiment!

 

Good to know. Now marked in my resource guide and my truck stop book as "NO", which is shorthand for "Stay the hell away from here".

 

I grew up in Ms. I know all the bad spots there..Wait they all are lol...Winona is not too bad, lived not far from there outside Vaiden for a few years.

 

Lived in Jackson for a while, trainer husband was from Utica. I don't expect great things from MS.

This place looks fairly new; about the only thing, other than a truck shop, on this side of 55 at this exit. Somehow, that is more comforting than the half-abandoned strip mall at Senatobia...

 

Yeah I lived in Jackson for awhile to..Where I worked at, I heard gun fire almost everyday..Nice area it was lol
