When it rains it pours....Well, I started my clock at 0700 looking for a empty. Sent me over to Kmart DC in Greensboro, NC.. guess what no empties. Sent my exception in and waited for 30 min. After 30 min I get a beep and its telling me to head to FedEx in Kernersville, NC 30 mi away. Get to FedEx and check in... guess what no empties.. Another 30 min goes by and I get another beep, telling me to head to P&G in Browns Summit, NC. I live 1/2 mi from P&G, sometimes doing the right thing, can bite you in the butt. For now on I will be BT into P&G to pick empty up.

So, I get the empty with no problem and head over to Winston Salem, NC. I check in at the window and give the guy my PU. He comes back and tell me some other carrier already picked up the load WTF. I get on the phone with SNI to inform them the situation. My dbl puts me on hold so she can call CS. Then she comes back an say they are trying to get me a new pu number. She told me to call back in 45 min. I call her back and,she tells me the load has been cancel and I will receive $150 for VNU Plus $50 for trailer search. My day has been Fubar, so I deadheaded 40 mi to the house. lol

Man that sucks. The new drop yard in High Point is full of trailers, they sent me there the other day first try, good place to check for empties. Also you know there is a Frito in Greensboro? Real tiny one but they usually have 1-2 SNI empties sitting outside. Don't have to go inside or anything just roll up, grab trailer and take off.

Then drivers wonder why they can't find that empty there assigned to. If more drivers followed the system instead of going Rambo. Trailer search wouldn't be so bad. Yeah they'll still b small percent of customers to blame

thats also because the $ spent on this newest tracking system seems to blow chunks anyway.
Trailers ON ME in the system have been allowed to leave Obetz while truck was in the shop for PM.

Whats your answer for that smart guy?

    mickimause Thanks this.

I don't like to be assign to an empty. It never goes the way its plan. If you know where an empty is , just grab it. Trust me your not screwing the next driver... you are doing him a favor.
