Well lastnight was a fun night, went to the TA here in Boise, ID. To get the rear trailer tire patched and walked out with a new alternator, 4 new bats, all wheel alinement, balanced all the tires and replaced all 8 of my drives.. 7 hours later I realize that dude was a hell of a salesman and my truck got all the stuff done I had been putting off. Brightside I guess is I got a good amount of points and a few showers for later.

I head out of home today headed for Shelbyville, IN. Then from there I pickup a load in our yard in Indy and take it to Casa grande, Az. Then grab a frito load of chips and take it up to Salt lake city, UT.

Hope all of you had a excellent xmus and a awesome new years. :)

Casinos are the last bastion for those addicted to nicotine...
2 days trying to watch bowl games and waiting for the Freightliner dealer to change out 4 batteries (obviously they don't get paid by the mile)and now I have a draining sinus condition and sore throat. Thank you Philip Morris and RJR; your product that kills 10s of 1000s every year has me wondering why anyone would suffer the foolishness of being in a casino if they didn't have to. When stuck at the Petro in Reno be prepared to endure foul air, a mediocre restaurant and a shower system that requires you to actually go inside and get a fuel receipt and then show the receipt to obtain a shower credit.

Met a nice Swift driver who is a lease contractor...he asked me to show him how to hang chains (he didn't know how and had no idea what the different states require), he asked me to help him set up his XM sat radio system; he also asked if I had any tools as he didn't have any to connect his sat radio antenna. He has a new 2015 Cascadia and started with Swift less than 6 mths ago...when he was a fleet driver they started him at 34cpm. WTF???
The guy was friendly and I am not judging him but I find it really odd that they (Swift) would lease a tractor so quickly to a driver who had little experience and had limited understanding of the parameters of the industry.

Might need to have a talk with someone about my CPM rate...

Hope that SNI driver who I met in Fontana and who is a Tide fan hasn't driven into a ditch due to depression...

I will get a picture after Little Bit gets a bath...or in the daylight. I will also get a better explanation of exactly how the Dixie Gate works. I also assume gasoline tankers have them, based on the various refinery safety videos I watched...

Parked at the Porter TA, having All-I-Care-To-Eat fried fish and debating running to Lemont to load tonight. Weather for tomorrow looks icky...

General question...how much WB can I have and still be an IC leased to SNI? I am thinking about an ARI sleeper(144) on a 2015 Volvo so that I get warranty and an automatic for fuel economy...I have a benefactor who is willing to co-sign...need the large sleeper so my wife can join me on the open road.

I believe they say 260" but will make exceptions. Don't think you're gonna get a 144" sleeper on a 260" wheelbase lol. It won't matter though, there is absolutely no point in getting a setup like that to pull trailers for SNI. You will be so limited in places you can go with that setup. Not to mention they are incredibly heavy and you'll severely limit your load carrying capacity. I'd be surprised if you could even scale out a pallet load legally with one of those setups. On top of the massive sleeper, you've gotta account for fresh/grey/black water tanks, a generator, fuel for the generator, the fridge, sink, blah blah blah. It's just not realistic.

The rates wouldn't support a payment on one either................

Sorry, but I am not fluent in obtuse non-sequitur...

Is there an article missing? In six months, at six months...the person I mentioned was "less than six months".
Is a lease to your way of thinking a rental?
Do you somehow feel that this is a little tid-bit of info that has escaped me; I am unaware of the IC program? I do believe that SNI would be a little more discerning in who they let into their IC program...I could be wrong.

Don't anyone take this personal but I have had another day of way too much stupid...I need a drink and then a nap.
