Location for the night

Spent the night in Lansing, IL went and opened the hood to do pre trip and there is a BIG ### raccoon on top of my engine! He's not happy and doesn't want to get out, crawls behind the engine, I try poking him and he bites the stick and still won't leave. I started the truck, nope! Took about 10 minutes of poking and banging on things around him before he leaves!

 

Could you imagine your drive belts busted and then you open your hood to find a racoon exploded all over your engine
Now that would be a story!

 

Had a cat once that lost part of his tail that way, and was to stupid, about a month later he lost the rest of it! But that raccoon was big! It would have been a mess!

Been a long while since I've been there, used to drop there almost daily. Place has really went to heck.

Grabbed the flatest space I could get considering virtually the entire lot is on an incline.

 

Mustang Ridge, TX (Peelot). Parking here is much harder to come by now that they put the Peelot sign up.

 

Yep. But I park where there's still pavement. Years ago this was a happenin' place.
