Just because they are legal to use, does that then translate to satisfying carrying chains? Be smart to research each states DOT or BMV/DMV to be sure on all fronts , ya know?

Agreed. Not 100% certain by his reply either. I WANT it to be true. My truck is heavy enough already.

I can hear the conversation now with the DOT... Reminds me of the time a big bellied Tennessee cop (no doubt related to @TennMan) stepped up on my running board, looked at my portable CD player and said, "That there a radar detector?" "No officer, it plays music. It's a music player".

He gave me my only ticket ever for sleeping on an on ramp...

Still at the Sturtevant drop lot. Relay wasn't here yesterday. Still isn't here.. supposed to get here in the next 30 min. Who knows.

What's really a bit silly is that at this point the load is still a relay. The driver that has it now has the hours to get it to delivery (160 miles from here) and he'd be able to do it faster than the stop and me getting it would. Appt time is blown and the receiver closes at 1300... lets hope for no traffic around chi town.

On the plus side, I went to the petro and got some Kringle.

Well it has finally happened. I got my first Southern run since May. At the Tennessean Truck Stop Connersville, TN. Headed to Birmingham in the morning.

    Pilot in South Bend IN....

By the time I got to receiver with the relay, it was too late and they rescheduled me for 5am. I truly love these 160 mile days that happen every single week at least through no fault of mine. It's funny, rollling on recaps and only picking up 4hr tomorrow from the same thing happening 8 days ago. I was a bit concerned that it would be an issue. Nope.
