When I purchased my truck, I apparently did not get the key for the sleeper compartment.
What is the best way for me to get the locks out of there and buy replacement locks?
Can I just drill through the lock until it falls apart?

Some trucks have access holes under the mattress. I have drilled some out. Some bunks raise in the front.

drill it. Make sure you have a bit that will take metal. And some form of fireproof cooling spray of some sort.
-
Did you try to get one cut from the Vin#?
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
They tell me absolutely positively no way will they make me a key for that truck.
If anybody knows of a Freightliner dealership that will make me keys I'd be happy to pay to have them shipped. -

Wow! If you have a key code, try a local locksmith. They usually can do it. Took me a while to figure that out. Think I just had to provide proof of ownership

Ive had it done twice. One car needed that locksmith to call Japan for the key pattern and that was 50 .00 plus 350 total. Worth it. The other was more recent and once I provided title on one of our cars they built a new key set specific to that individual vehicle.
Locksmiths are magicians. But you have to have papers on whatever it is you are asking them to get into. They wont do it otherwise because to them it could be a felony.Cabinover101 Thanks this. -
Yes, Locksmith will do that.
Cabinover101 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I actually understand how locks work and can get into some of them with simple tools. But a locksmith I am not. Absolutely not.
