    Okay I took a ratchet strap and hooked it to the king pin handle. Hooked other end to side of the trailer. Jacked the thing until the jaw snapped open and then pulled ahead slightly. Your welcome

    Often times you have pressure on the jaws. Just back against the trailer. Will resolve that problem.
