Just because a dot officer is wrong doesn't a regulation make.
There is no limit on how many off duty days one can put on a single page. As a legal matter you can have 365 days on one page. As a practical matter the last 7 is all that's needed.
Log Book after extended absence from driving?

I could be wrong but seems like someone posted years back that only 1 month allowed per page.
You'd need 12 pages for the year.
I think it was either scalemaster or the other dot guy.Rideandrepair and tscottme Thank this. -
You are free to to see if you can find one.....Rideandrepair and tscottme Thank this. -
Had a TX DPS DOT officer at a log seminar and that question came up. He said all off duty days can be on 1 page. However, he said you couldn't cross months on 1 page. If your off duty period came at the end of the month(say on the 28th thru the 31st), you should make one page with the end of the months days on one page and the next months off duty days on a new page.
Of course, this was back during paper days. -

I've been home almost 6 years now. -
How quaint, a discussion about paper log books. I think I will get in my Studebaker and go for a drive....
Every safety dept. I have ever dealt with never allowed drivers to cross months in a situation like this. If you went off duty on July 25 and were off until August 12, you would have to make out 2 log pages. Personally I think it was for filing/organizational purposes, I have no idea if it is codified.kylefitzy, Dino soar, Accidental Trucker and 3 others Thank this. -
