    You hit the nail on the head. Why any young person would even think about getting into a truck is beyond me. When I got into a truck some 47 years ago, truck driving was one of the best "blue collar" job that a person could get. Now, a truck driver is looked upon worse than a criminal. It just ain't worth it. Wages stagnant, benefits non-existent, and everyday another ball is put on the chain around your ankle.

    Recently I was re-entering the US of A and the department of homeland security searched my cab. What am i supposed to do about THAT? Sure, I could've set myself up to not haul canadian freight, but that'd be shooting myself in the foot...you need to be able to accept any load you can when you're OTR.

    and OMG as i was typing this i looked up and my hood was fixin to be ripped off by a truck backing in next to me! good thing i looked up and honked my horn!
