I run a regular log every day. If I know I'm going to run more than 100 air miles i run a road log, if not i log on line 4 on duty not driving for up to 12 hours.
MNdriver Thanks this. -
i should say i fill out a log every day but only graph when running outside of 100 mile radius never write on my log more than 12 hours a day.
-
I also write local driver in my remarks section.
Numb Thanks this. -
Have you ever been checked by DOT? Did they accept this?
-
Yes 4 times, one was yesterday on my way home. I'm leased to a company that's owned by a huge owner operator driven company. They nit pick the hell out of the logs so yes it's correct. You cannot go off duty during your 12 hours, it has to be consecutive on duty not driving. I flag my pre trip, post trip and fuel stop.
-
yes, they accept it. I write in 100 air mile when I am working local and show the hours "on-duty" that I work. Never had an issue. Dude6710 and I live in the same state.

Is it me or has dot been stepping up the game within the last year? I have been seeing more and more around.
-
Metro troopers are stepping up it seems. Really nasty type too.
And with the St Croix scale being closed, they are likely trying to make up for lost revenue elsewhere. -
Oh snap why the hell is it closed? Yeah I bet they are, I've seen stings on hwy 10 and 65 too many times within the last year, kinda makes you scared to drive anywhere. I just know a lot of them don't know what there doing so you'll probably be cited for something that's incorrect.
