Most places aren't as fussy as the left side. Only place it was questioned was OH when it was Slohio, and since I hadn't scaled or fueled, they had no times to work with other than my log book, and this was back in 2005 when we could split like we wanted.
harmin5288 Thanks this. -
Most other states aren't as anal as commiefornia.. If your that worried about it just go around them...
7-UP, harmin5288 and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
CA is not the issue. OR scale on I-5 as enter OR from CA would have guys with just a calculator that would only look at your log, pretty much knew the exact distance between the main stopping points in CA on I-5, if you averaged better the 57 mph they would send you inside for a complete exam with latex gloves. Best line from an inspector to a guy in front of me: I will give you a choice, ticket for falsification of logs or speeding ticket.
CA is actually pretty easy if you aren't running around like an idiot. Log almost 40% of my miles in CA for a couple years, inspected over a dozen times and never got a violation for some of the nit picky stuff.harmin5288 and 25(2)+2 Thank this. -
That's why I don't go to the west coast! But, I thought California was the worst, guess not!harmin5288 Thanks this.

Obviously, if you want to get away with speeding you mark your start time earlier than when you actually start and then when you get close to your 11 or 14 you have to stop and adjust.
this is no comment on whether this practice is right or wrong, just answering the guys question.harmin5288, volvodriver01 and Cyclops Thank this. -
Read a map much? Getting into habits like your I-5 route can make a person forget to pay attention. Speed is a constant that is controlled by you, not the location of the next scale.
Driving out of California would, to me at least, be a breath of fresh air (I lived there, I hate the state... now I hate New Jersey just as much).
You're going to find that leaving California is going to be a much better ride,... and you get to drive a little faster too but just obey the speed limits and the scales won't bite your 'Gluteous Maximus' (Latin terminology for 'A S S').harmin5288 Thanks this. -
Do O/O usually use e-logs or paper logs?
-
I base my logs off running 55mph doesn't matter where I go or when I go.. 55mph thats it....
GAlanFink Thanks this. -
Most use paper logs but anymore carriers are over stepping the bounds and trying to make the switch to elogs. Jumpin the gun a little to early as I still own the truck...
