if boss said run it. ill run it until it catches on fire in 1st gear. just hold it to the floor. sounds like you need a better driving job
I'd pull the intake off the turbo and verify that it's not seized up. Pretty quick and easy way to see why the afr is so fouled up...
Yeah about that ... the cop actually put the truck OUT OF SERVICE so when the driver drives the truck and the cop pulls him over, you paying his legal expenses? When the truck is a road hazard, it needs to be off the road and the driver should know better.
of course i want to quit. But the few companies in my area are not hiring because of covid uncertainty (many customers are closed, some permanent). The company i'm working for now is 100% agriculture so very little uncertainty there. As I told my boss, I'll quit as soon as hired elsewhere. I wanted to take and log 2 shifts to deture my boss. Even though ag hours allow 16 hour shifts, i rarely use more than 12. Two 16 shifts would use up my remaining hours and keep me parked for 34 in the middle of my run. Then he would have to send someone out if for no other reason than to fuel the reefer. Plus, i'd be paid while producing nothing for the company. I just wasn't sure it was legal to log it as on duty not driving. Answers here were helpful. I told my boss I was not moving the truck unless it was to the closest shop and i'd log 16 hour shifts where i was parked until the truck was fixed. It worked, he said to take the truck to the shop and he provided another truck for me to continue there. The Highway Patrol had not tagged the truck, just warned me to fix it so going to the closest shop was fine. we passed each other on my way.
Did one of the intake boots slip off somewhere? Charge air cooler? Tell me you at least tried to find the problem...
