When I was a kid, a friend of my brother’s was riding in a car that was following too closely behind a logging truck, going up an incline. The logs came loose, smashing through the windshield and otherwise obliterating the car. Unlike the trucker in this news article, my brother’s friend did not make it. I hate riding behind logging trucks to this day.

I Drove by this today. It took 2 hours and 15 minutes to go from Dupont to Port of Tacoma.Seen the caved roof and tractor.Apparently they sent another logger to navigate his crumpled cab.Seen him sitting low in the seat in the 2nd lane.

No way those logs came loose and "crashed through the cab." He had to have rear-ended the other truck.

Thats what it looked liked anyway.A truck with huge, heavier logs as. Ended a trailer with lighter logs. Then a 3rd log truck parked on the shoulder.Looked like they sent him out to try to navigated the smashed windshield/ cab truck. What it appeared to be anyway.

Yeah, log carriers here in Maine have the same problem. Hit something parked and the logs act like missles.

Tree length does not fall off the back of the truck unless the rules of gravity have changed while I was napping.

Chances are the driver was making logs of a different kind after the wreck!!
