I’m new to long haul and notice more log trucks on Tuesdays. Is this a coincidence or do companies move more lumber on that day?

around here you see them all days of the week close to the mills, if they are logging in that area and the mill is receiving.
LST100974 Thanks this. -
This is specifically on the north umpqua highway in Oregon so I’m not sure if each state has different rules. My friend started driving so I’m doing research for him.Numb Thanks this.

That's one area where I hauled, hwy 138. Probably going to Roseburg. Log truck rules are the same in most states. Short logger, long logger & mule train.
Exception is weight. Trucks are spaced about 30 min apart if off of 1 loader(shovel). They run radios, find their channel and you will know where there at. Loaded leaving the 1243 on to the pavement.Last edited: Sep 3, 2025
