I'm sure you already got it figured out what to do but with Werner and elogs, don't cheat because it'll come back and bite you in the ###.Best thing to do is tell your dispatcher when you get close to running out of hrs so he can repower the load..You should always keep on top of your hrs, check them often and communicate with your dispatcher.

Taildragon Thanks this. -
#1 SB is your best friend on elogs. Stuck at a shipper 8 hours? spend that time in the sleeper and come back to a paused 14... Get your paperwork & qualcomming done behind that curtain and youre no longer "on duty" either... Another tip: try to route your fuel stops so they happen at the end of your shift so you can pti while the fuel is pumping...
#2 You guys boasting about never taking a reset are just burning money by limiting yourself to 61.25 hours/week. That's fine if you don't want to work hard, but for me if I'm going to be away from home for weeks/months at a time, I want to be running as close to 81 hours/week as possible... -
my routes must take me in a different direction then others no matter how much i trip plan and watch my hours one screwed up shipper throws a 3 hour day at me then o have plenty of hours until my recap anyway. Good dispatching see,s to be the key to me or am i just passing the buck. There are times i would rather run 6 11 hour days then reset but you cant always get what you want, Beeen out since 6/10 one rest with 25 hours left tommorow not the way I planned it. And after leaving Bud plant at midnight it appears I am now a night runner....sigh
