    The TX cop was wrong assuming the carrier was interstate. Intrastate (stay in TX) may be a different story but if the carrier is interstate the TX cop was absolutely wrong assuming the driver was not under the control of the carrier & on his/her way home from the terminal. A ticket from that TX state cop would be easy to beat if he/she had the lunacy to issue such a citation.

    Most of you know I retired from the USDOT & I wouldn't steer you wrong on this.

    I run pretty legal. I may fudge a bit on the fourth line but the third line is always pretty accurate. The smaller the company the more they want you to be creative. No matter what you do, never admit you did it differently than your log book. Never!
