Ya......sorry about that. I have a different view because of "MY" status. I have been using DDL (more-or-less as a BETA Tester) since it's third or fourth revision when it was FREE and I have a LIFETIME unlimited use. Sometimes I think I am responsible for Nick deciding to charge for his program, because of a short article I wrote for The Trucker many years ago about the three available "Log Book" programs: TWO of them charged for the program (only ONE of those had extra features and UPDATED the program when Laws changed) and DDL was still free. I wrote: At any price, DDL is still the best program over-all.
Nick soon started charging for his program.
Blame me

My company does not accept their logs. I only use it to check them before submission. This means just about any log book program can do it and therefore, I must look at the cost involved to see if it is worth it.
Not to mention, that I update my laptops about every 18 months. So, I would be buying this every 3 years. Just not sure it makes sense for them to keep charging for something you have bought. It is not like I am able to use a computer that I no longer have that has the program on it before I purged it. Seems pathetic to me. -
Most programs will let you uninstall from one and install to another. If not contact the manufacture as they can assist.

Install it on as many as you like: Free driver log trial - Eclipse
Once it is registered then the driver's name is "attached" to that log serial number, but you could use that serial number on unlimited computers. -
This one does not. I have been in contact with them. They are like crooks by the way they do this. You buy the software, but they are restrictive. So, if you ever want to upgrade a computer, they make you buy it again after so many of them. Their answer to the updated computers was to keep the one originally used and then have 2 computers in the truck.
I still have software I purchased 10 years ago, that I am allowed to use since I bought it.Last edited: Feb 29, 2012

Their fine print, is a yearly fee for updates.

Have you looked at Trucklogger?
You've been-----\/\/\/\-----Thunderstruck!!! -
Looks more reasonably priced. It also has a limit of 10 computers, but concurrently where the other is a plain 3 computers anytime.
I saved the link and will keep it for future reference. Might download after tax season. -
how many of these are current with the new HOS regs that went in on Jan 30 this year?

Nothing changed in January on the hours of service.
They change in July 2013.
