I'm having the same trouble blind! Wonder if it's a test? My first couple weeks were good with decent paying loads. This week my FM has screwed me up so bad I've been chasing my tail all week trying to keep up! Tuesday I was sent for a load. Loaded, tarped, got back in truck to pull out and get a phone call....WHOOPS! We shouldn't have given you that load...Grab an empty trailer from there and go here. Well, ok but now I have to untarp and unstrap every bit of that! And no pay for the 5 hours I spent there? THANKS! Then the next day...Why dispatch someone to a 9 hour drive when you know their clock is up before they leave shipper? Oh and a sorry paying load at that! The worst paying load I've had yet! IMO I should have got a real short good paying load to make up for a whole day of no pay! Wonder if we have the same FM?!

Oh and hometime? Well guess you could say I've had some. Last Friday I had put in request to be home by 7 or 8 Friday night so I didn't completely miss my Grandaughters birthday...Got home Saturday at 1. THANKS! Have barely gotten home with enough time to reset to leave on Monday mornings! Sorry venting lol.

i've been reading all of yalls posts & this is typical in trucking. u have to pay ur dues; if u think that ur only gonna pay so much then move on, think again. ur dispatcher will test u til he/she sees that u can handle the job. there are several variables in the way things happen in trucking. if u want this as ur career to retire from, get used to it; if not, i don't know what to tell u. also, u can't make money sitting @ home, nor tarping, strapping, etc; then get told untarp, unstrap, etc & go somewhere else. dispatcher should throw u a bone but they do what they want. u just gotta work with them.

Im not scared to say my fm is Curt in Desmoines. I understand paying dues. I had already posted that. What Im saying is through a good load in after a couple bad loads. I also worked the other day at central steel in chicago. Secured, tarped, then did complete trailer swap. Honestly it also took me 5 hours. Crappy paying loads. I have 9 hours to log today. Im sitting waiting to get loaded. So far Ive logged 2.25 hours and still am not loaded. Then I have to secure, then drive to Detroit. Now tell me this is my fault from "poor time management."

So what you are saying is you are not going home this weekend? I don't get the load, secure it, tarp it, and then switch. Definitely can't blame that on "poor time management".

No, Im sitting at a Pilot off I75 just south of Detroit. Im out of hours. Fm stated MAYBE find somebody to do repower with. I qualled back and asked wtf? I questioned this load when you gave it to me last night, when I was already out of hours. As for Chicago steel, when I got there, the shipper told me my trailer was already loaded and waiting for me. I had to drop mine, go find the new one, secure it, tarp it, then take everything out of my old trailer and put into my new one. I had approx 5 hrs labor in it. Yah dog, I was very mad!! Im tired of people saying " well thats trucking." That aint nothing but a cop out. An excuse to abuse people. Part of me wants to repower this load Im sitting on, for the money. The other part dont care, at least Ill get a reset and some deserved down time. I might be a rookie driver, but Im not stupid!!

Well Blind, I have now sat at home for two weeks. Not making a dime and spending money to jump through the hoops. My Doctor, whom I will be replacing with a new doctor, faxed everything yesterday. I was then told in the afternoon that I needed the ER records faxed also. That would have been nice to know on MONDAY! So everything is done and faxed and confirmed today. Waiting for Andy(FM) or someone to call me. I would like to get back to Buffalo and get in my truck.

Yah, I hear ya on the money part. Theres a big part of me that thinks this is just another TMC test to see how dedicated you are. Not sure. My father drove for 40 years. He swears. TMC is a good company. I have to trust his opinion. Deep down I really think things will get better. But I also say that not everything that happens is because Im a rookie.
