Loggin on "Line 3" for TMC

Another day logged and another day closer to solo. Good day today. Ran till I bumped my clock last night. Shut it down in an IGA parking lot in Henderson, Ky. With a fresh clock, delivered the load local. Within 10 minutes had another load. Bounced about 40 miles or so. Picked up a load of chain link fence material going to Scranton, Pa.
Drove till my clock, parked right beside a Cracker Barrel in Colombus, Oh for the night. Heavy thunderstorms tonight. Laying here listening to the rain on the roof of the truck. Its all good.

 

Another good easy day. Still have the same load on the deck. We are stopped for 10 at a rest area minutes away from the consignee. We will deliver in the a.m. I spoke to the training coordinator today, I get to test out on Monday. I dont know yet if its at Gaston or Desmoines. I hope Gaston as it is ALOT closer to the house for me. So, I should have my very own black and chrome truck on monday!! Time to make some real money and start living the dream. I'll keep you posted.

 

Here I sit at the houss. I have to leave in 10 hours to head to Desmoines to test out. I have to pick another driver up " on the way." Its been a tough month with the trainer. Im glad its over. I was told its designed to test you and push you. So after a week on the road, I wont even be home for 24 hours and Im off again. I will post more details when I arrive in DesMoines.

 

Im trying too. Im in the car now. Its 2:30 am. In Louisville, Ky. Headed to the main yard.

 

Alrighty then... I'm back in Des Moines, at the Baymont. Nice place, however the room kinda smells dirty. I've got the window opened, hoping to air out the room. Its been a long car ride, but I made it safely. Tomorrow, I "test out" and should get my own truck. I'll be glad to put my stuff in the truck, and not have to share the space. As far as I know, the test out is nothing more than a road test, with backing skills thrown in for good measure. I'm not worried. I'll post more when I know more.
Rumor has it that instead of 23%, TMC is going to start us out at 26%. I'll also let you know if theres any truth to that rumor. Be safe.
